Simple Drop Earrings

I'm not a jewelry person. I've made a couple of pair of earrings simply by hanging a charm from a hook with a jump ring. That is as crafty as I've gotten with jewelry making, until today.

This morning I took a pair of eye pins, some seed beads, and matching dangly beads (see how technical I am) and I made the most complicated pair of earrings I've ever tackled on my own.

Now, when I say complicated you have to take that term lightly cause they were not complicated at all, but I think they are pretty anyway. Fall colors and everything.

Journal Calendar Grids

Here are some more calendar grids in my journal. It seems to be all I'm doing lately.

First is August's "finished" calendar. I stopped filling it in about halfway though the month.
You can also see August's Before calendar HERE.

August 2009 finished

I didn't even make September's calendar until the end of the second week, but have gone back and filled in the days I missed.

I couldn't think of anything I wanted to paint, or colors I wanted to use for backgrounds.

The background is from a local newspaper called Skirt. It fit my pages almost perfectly to use as a background. I just cut out and glued down white squares for my dates.

If you click the pictures or visit their large flickr image page you can read what is written in the squares, if you so wish to do.

Letter prompts "a" and "b"

A is for Animal

I was at a loss for "Letter A". I ended up flipping through an old "Pet Products News" I had lying around, and snipping critters out of the ads and gluing them randomly on the page.

B is for Body Image

The "Letter B" I got a little more creative with. B is for Body Image, and tried to do SOMETHING with the collage other than randomly slap stuff on paper. -grin-
